The Assistant Preschool Teacher will help lead the afternoon aftercare program for children age 2. This role involves supervising play, guiding group activities, preparing snacks, and ensuring a safe and engaging end-of-day experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play
- Help implement fun, age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a warm and respectful atmosphere in the classroom
- Ensure safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Assist with cleanup and organization of materials
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and families
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, approximately 9:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children in a group setting (preschool or early childhood experience preferred)
- Enthusiastic, patient, and dependable
- Able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet any applicable state licensing requirements
Bonus if you have:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or coursework
- Bilingual skills
- Previous experience in an aftercare or extended day program
