Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their needs
- Provide detailed product demos and educate customers on different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by highlighting features, benefits, and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product visibility
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and assist with product ordering to keep the store well-stocked
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations from customers or vendors
Skills
- Proven experience with retail sales, cashiering, or customer service in a grocery store or similar environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
- Supervising experience preferred to assist with team coordination and store operations
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions
