Shines Brightly Cleaning Services is a commercial cleaning company serving businesses across the DMV area. We’re growing and looking for dependable Cleaning Technicians who take pride in detailed, professional work.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Cleaning Technician, you will help keep our clients’ facilities clean, safe, and presentable every day. You’ll work at various commercial locations (offices, retail spaces, medical and professional buildings) and follow a cleaning checklist at each site.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and take waste to designated areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, fixtures)
- Wipe down and disinfect high touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, railings, etc.)
- Dust furniture, ledges, vents, and other surfaces
- Clean glass and interior windows as needed
- Restock paper products and soap in restrooms and break rooms
- Follow company cleaning checklists and standards at each job site
- Secure buildings after cleaning (turn off lights, lock doors, set alarms when required)
- Communicate with supervisors about supplies, issues, or special requests

Job sites vary and may include:
- Washington, DC
- Arlington, VA
- Prince George’s County, MD
- Northern Virginia
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between job sites
- Ability to work evenings and/or nights (night-time cleaning available)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–30 lbs as needed
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently after training
- Commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
