Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting pallets, boxes, and crates of refrigerated fresh fruit to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving and customer service skills, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks, motorized pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring items are secured for transport.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary.
- Assist with moving items within the warehouse as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of vehicle (box and driver areas).
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices is essential.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including knowledge of loading and unloading procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks consistently throughout the workday.
- Proficiency in driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
