Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team, with shifts available to accommodate various schedules. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of warehouse activities, including order fulfillment, materials handling, and equipment operation. Duties
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including cranes and forklift trucks, following OSHA safety guidelines.
- Handle materials carefully during shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining organized storage areas and assisting in inventory counts.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while adhering to safety protocols for mechanical knowledge and proper techniques.
- Contribute to the maintenance of warehouse equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Support construction-related tasks when required, including materials handling for ongoing projects.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately.
- Assist in loading and securing goods for transportation, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems for efficient inventory control.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes and load & unload procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment across various shifts.
- Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
