This position is responsible for the operation of the Sandblaster or Blasting Operation as well as applying industrial coatings. You will be working with the heavy equipment, grinding tools, high pressure paint pumps and power tools during this process. In addition to operating the blast booth, you may be tasked with painting or coating after successfully removing the unwanted substances from the surface.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply coatings to customer specifications.
- Maintain paint equipment in clean and good working order
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
- Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
- Assist with painting or coating as needed
- Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous industrial painting experience
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Previous industrial sandblasting experience or training
- Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus
- Physical stamina
- Flexible schedule
- Familiarity with power tools
- Familiarity with high pressure paint pumps
