Position:PH Greens Assistant Salary: $17.25 Hourly Location: Pine Hills Golf & Supper Club Reportsto: Pine Hills Superintendent
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on golf course fairways and greens.
- Assist with mowing, raking, and fertilizing the fairways and greens.
- Adhere to all rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of Pine Hills Golf & Supper Club and the Stockbridge-Munsee Community.
- Assist in the repair of course machinery.
- Aid in watering the fairways and greens.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and fellow associates.
- Keep work areas neat, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Participate in the employee random drug testing program.
- Work effectively with a diverse range of personalities.
- Attend all assigned meetings and training sessions.
- Wear the approved departmental uniform.
- Be reliable and punctual when reporting to work.
- Comply with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations.
- Report any guest complaints or concerns to the immediate supervisor.
- Be knowledgeable about the facilities, including the location of restrooms and telephones, and handle guest inquiries efficiently.
- Understand and support the organization’s goals and vision.
- Collaborate as a team member to ensure smooth operations.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as needed based on organizational requirements.
Qualifications & Education:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; required if you are 19 years old or under.
- Demonstrate courteous, energetic, reliable, and professional behavior.
- Submit to a court records search/background review.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
- Prior experience in golf course care and landscaping is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Capability to work under various conditions.
- Physical ability to perform all tasks associated with the position.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
- A satisfactory working record in previous employment.
- Adherence to the Tribe’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Eligibility for coverage under the employer’s liability insurance.
Work Conditions:
- Mobility: Must be able to frequently walk, stand, and sit, as well as use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach for tools and equipment. Additionally, must be able to talk and hear effectively to communicate with team members and guests.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires good manual dexterity to handle and operate various job-related tools and machinery.
- Strength and Lifting Ability: Capable of lifting and/or moving objects up to sixty (60) pounds regularly.
- Environmental Conditions: Able to work in varying weather conditions, including uncomfortably hot or cold environments.
- Vision: Must have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception. The ability to adjust focus is required, with prescription glasses or contacts acceptable if needed.
