Part-Time Nursing Instructor
Are you an experienced nurse who wants to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals? Highland Community College is looking for Part-Time Nursing Instructors to join our team in the Spring of 2027. This part-time position is scheduled for approximately 10-14 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach nursing students in classroom, lab, or clinical setting with collaborative simulation experiences with opportunities available in Freeport, Rockford, Monroe, WI and surrounding areas.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities.
- Assess clinical performance and provide feedback to help students achieve course and program learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking for:
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Wisconsin if clinical oversight takes place in Wisconsin.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent direct patient care experience in Med/surg or critical care nursing.
- Strong communication, organization, and a passion for teaching.

Salary Range: $38 per hour
