Conversion Van Manufacturing
We are looking for a highly motivated & experienced tech to build wheelchair accessible and custom commercial vans. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and automotive experience, excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating hand tools & production line equipment, finishing vehicles and reporting any issues with equipment directly to maintenance supervisors. All qualified, responsible applicants are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities and Duties
- After a 90 day training period, build vans to specification.
- Follow specified building procedures
- Carry out basic quality and testing checks
- Operate metal and wood machinery and hand tools.
- Maintain work areas and equipment
Required Skills
- High school diploma/GED required
- Capable and Proficient with power tools.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
- Reliable mode of transportation
- Welding and automotive experience a plus.
- Solid English language skills.
