Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to join a Behavioral Health unit in Sacramento, CA. The LVN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced psychiatric setting, supporting adolescents and adult patients with behavioral health and mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and documentation
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation procedures
- Assist with behavioral health treatment plans and patient monitoring
- Maintain accurate EPIC charting and clinical documentation
- Follow safety, restraint, and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide compassionate care in a locked behavioral health unit
Qualifications:
- Active CA LVN License required
- BLS required (AHA or ARC)
- CPI, PMAB, or ProAct certification required
- Minimum 2 years of LVN experience required
- Recent inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Experience with crisis intervention, substance abuse, detox, and psychiatric patient care preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour
