Responsibilities
- Implement Frogstreet curriculum plans that promote literacy, social skills, and physical development in young children
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Engage in child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education and early intervention techniques
- Conduct lesson planning that integrates Frogstreet methods and other educational frameworks suitable for preschool learners
- Monitor and document each child's progress through assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's milestones, challenges, and successes
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety standards
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols to foster an optimal learning space
- Support preschool care routines and participate in physical education activities designed for early childhood development
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care, literacy education, math fundamentals, and early intervention strategies
- Familiarity with education practices and behavior management techniques for young learners
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing Frogstreet educational approaches
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety compliance
- Ability to work hands-on with children during various activities including physical education and tutoring sessions
- Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education standards and best practices in preschool teaching
- MUST HAVE A CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE OR MUST BE WORKING TOWARDS COMPLETING THE CDA PROGRAM.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
