Académie Da Vinci Charter School, an A-rated K–8 public charter school in Dunedin, Florida, is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Extended Day Team.
Our Extended Day Assistants help provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for elementary-aged students before and after school. Working alongside the Extended Day Director, assistants supervise students, lead activities, support homework time, and help create a positive experience for children and families.
This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for a rewarding part-time position in a supportive school community.
Schedule
Part-Time
Available shifts include:
Morning Shift
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 8:15 AM
Afternoon Shift
- Monday–Friday
- 3:15 PM – 6:00 PM

Additional hours may be available on teacher workdays, school breaks, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in a safe, caring, and positive environment.
- Lead engaging activities including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, STEM activities, and group games.
- Assist students with homework and academic support as needed.
- Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions.
- Monitor attendance and assist with student check-in and dismissal procedures.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming activity areas.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members.
- Follow school safety procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Assist the Extended Day Director with daily program operations.
- Ensure students remain actively engaged and included in program activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare center, camp, recreation program, or youth organization preferred.
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening.
- Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors and lift up to 30 pounds.

Compensation
