Pronoia Labs is a passionate team of professionals who support dynamic lifestyle brands,
operating across multiple states within the US. The brands we support are e-commerce

who we are
We build with intention. No filler, no shortcuts. Our reputation is earned on the floor, by the retail employees who recommend us because we showed up, taught them something, and made their shift easier. That is the moat. You will spend your days widening it.
We sell across California, New York, and Arizona, distributed through Nabis.
The position is employed through Pronoia Labs, the operational and design team supporting the company.
the level
Same role, two levels. Where you start depends on what you bring.
Account Executive. You sell in this market and you are building. You have relationships, you are hungry, and you are ready to own a territory.
Key Account Executive. You have spent four or more years selling hemp or other regulated goods in California and you bring experience growing high-value retail relationships within the California market. You have current relationships with the key accounts that matter, the kind you can prove with orders this quarter, not stories from five years ago. The bar here is evidence. If your book is real and it is now, the seat pays accordingly.
the work
This is not an order-taker seat. You run your territory like the business it is.
- Live in your stores. Education, demos, pop-ups. You build trust one shift at a time.
- Work with the brand team. You may have one or more brand ambassadors in your territory. You do not manage them, you coordinate with them. Line up their floor time against your accounts so the demos and pop-ups land where they move the most product.
- Open doors. New accounts, new placements, new SKUs in the accounts you have. Leads do not come to you here.
- Grow the book. Every account does more this month than last. That is the standard.
- Collect. Commissions are earned and calculated on collected revenue. Not booked. Not invoiced. Paid and in the bank. The follow-ups and hard conversations are yours, and come with the territory.
- Carry the brand. How you show up in stores and on camera is the brand. Carry it well.

- You sell in this market now, or did recently, and the buyers who matter already know your name.
- You do not need a script or a pep talk to hit your number. (Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and independent judgment in developing and managing the assigned territory.)
- You take losses personally and you do not repeat them.
- You read a margin report and see the story in it.
the pay
- Base ranges from $60,000 - $80,000 base salary annually, depending on if AE or KAE, with additional commission eligibility. On-target earnings (OTE) are anticipated to range from approximately $165,000 to $185,000 annually depending on role level, territory scope, account portfolio, and performance results.
- Commission on collected revenue ranges from 3% to 5% depending on position level and compensation structure. Account Executive typically earns 3%. Key Account Executive may earn higher commission rates based on experience, territory scope, and current portfolio. Commissions are earned and calculated based on collected revenue. Not booked revenue, not invoiced revenue. Collected.
- Eligibility for mileage and business expense reimbursement, phone stipend or reimbursement, health insurance benefits, and other applicable benefits is governed by company policy, role classification, eligibility requirements, and applicable law.
- Account Executives who consistently grow collected revenue and strengthen accounts may move into Key Account Executive seats. We promote the people who earn it.
the bar
Two things are not negotiable, and they are where most people fall short.
- Log your data. Every account, every visit, every order, in the CRM, on time. We run the territory on what you put in the system. If that feels like a chore, this will not work.
- Think in margin. Every discount, promo, and product allocation comes out of the P&L. Give product away to chase a top-line number and you are costing us money, not making it.
Past that: if you need constant direction, if you wait for leads, if you want a comfortable seat at a corporate distributor, this is not it.
