We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Supervisor to lead our banquet service team in delivering exceptional event experiences. Responsibilities
- Supervise banquet staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and timely service during events
- Oversee setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards
- Manage inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and equipment to optimize resources and reduce waste
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations using systems such as Jona POS or ClubSelect POS accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures throughout all banquet activities
- Assist with onboarding and developing team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce
- Ability to lift, carry, and be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a food service or hospitality environment, preferably in banquets or catering
- Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
- Experience managing food production for large-scale events
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, staff training & development, and shift management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hospitality management practices, and customer service excellence
- Casual dining or fine dining experience is highly desirable; hotel or catering experience is a plus
- 2–5 years of banquet or hospitality experience preferred
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Banquet Manager & Catering Sales Director
- Works closely with Sales, Culinary, and Operations teams
