Purpose:
Inspector position will concentrate on Cut & Grind, Patch, Final Assembly, and Packaging departments. Area of assignment and cross-training may vary at the discretion of the Director of Quality.
Qualifications:

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a production boat factory.

Must be decisive, and willing to support his/her conclusions under often contentious exchanges.

Ability to focus on minute details.

Takes pride in producing the highest quality product.

Able to adapt to changing priorities and schedule. Works under moderate supervision.

Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
-
High school diploma required. Associates or Technical Degree preferred.

Strong organization skills, detail oriented, and computer skills required.

Positive, high-energy, self-confident personality.
Primary responsibilities:
-
Performs quality control inspections, checks and tests.
-
Inspects materials, parts and products at various production stages.
-
Records defects and observations for process improvement recommendations.
-
Inspects rework of defects and clears boat for release to the next department.
-
Performs final systems and cosmetic inspections before a boat is released for shipment.
