iRelax.Life Wellness is a modern wellness center in Arcadia dedicated to helping clients relax, relieve physical tension, and improve their overall well-being. We are seeking two professional, dependable, and client-focused Independent Massage Therapists to join our wellness community.
Position Summary
The Independent Massage Therapist will provide high-quality, customized massage services in a professional and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate communicates confidently with clients, understands their wellness needs, maintains appropriate professional boundaries, and delivers excellent customer service.
This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy services based on each client’s needs and preferences
- Consult with clients before each session regarding areas of concern, pressure preferences, health conditions, and service goals
- Clearly explain massage services, recommendations, and aftercare instructions
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and relaxing treatment space
- Follow all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and professional standards
- Maintain accurate client notes and protect client confidentiality
- Create a respectful, comfortable, and positive client experience
- Arrive on time and communicate promptly regarding appointments or schedule changes
- Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and boundaries at all times
- Work cooperatively with the iRelax.Life Wellness team and other independent wellness professionals
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid CAMTC certification
- Professional massage therapy education and hands-on experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Good spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional
- Knowledge of proper sanitation, client safety, draping, and professional boundaries
- Ability to perform massage services safely and effectively
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must provide all licenses, certifications, insurance, and business documentation required for independent contractor services
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of professional massage therapy experience
- Experience working in a wellness center, spa, chiropractic office, physical therapy clinic, or similar setting
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or another language is a plus, but not required
- Existing clientele or experience developing long-term client relationships
- Availability during evenings or weekends is a plus
Compensation
Competitive service-based compensation. Specific compensation terms will be discussed during the interview and documented in an Independent Contractor Agreement.
As an independent contractor, the therapist will be responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, certifications, permits, and other business-related obligations.
