Press Brake Operator
Build Custom Equipment. Own the Setup. Produce Precision Parts Every Day.
CHL Systems is hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator to produce precision formed metal components used in custom automation, conveyor, packaging, and material handling equipment.
This is not repetitive production work. Each project involves different drawings, materials, tooling, setups, and forming challenges. You will set up CNC press brakes, inspect your work, troubleshoot issues, and help keep production moving safety and efficiently.
We are looking for someone with direct press brake setup experience who can work independently, read drawings, select tooling, and consistently produce accurate parts.
Why Join CHL Systems?
- Hourly pay based on experience
- Weekly pay
- Medical, dental, and vision, PTO, paid holidays, and 401(k) with company match
- Stable, family-owned company with more than 65 years in business
- Opportunity to build custom equipment instead of producing the same parts every day
- Long-term growth and skill-development opportunities
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment to produce precision formed metal components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication prints, work orders, dimensions, and bend information
- Select appropriate punches, dies, tooling, and machine settings based on material and part requirements
- Determine bend sequences and forming approaches for custom and multi-step parts
- Inspect completed parts using calipers, protractors, squares, tape measures, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot tooling, material, setup, machine, and part-quality issues
- Deburr, finish, identify, and track completed parts according to company procedures
- Work with supervisors, fabricators, welders, and other production team members to support quality and production schedules
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

- Ability to inspect completed work using precision measurement tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude, shop-math skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to identify and correct routine setup, tooling, material, or quality issues
- Ability to work independently while meeting safety, quality, and production expectations
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of direct press brake experience
- Experience with custom or precision sheet metal fabrication

- Active manufacturing environment with regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment available for heavier materials
- Work around press brakes, fabrication machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and airborne particles
- Required use of PPE and adherence to all company safety procedures
