Position Summary
Future Foam is seeking an experienced Maintenance Controls Electrician to join our maintenance team in Archdale, NC. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial controls and PLCs, and the ability to work independently while supporting team projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electrical Technology preferred
- 2–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and specifications
- Working knowledge of control platforms used in foam cutting equipment, including CNC/VCC, Baumer, F&K, and Sitola (preferred)
- Basic PC skills, including familiarity with IP networking
- Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits
- Ability to wire and troubleshoot 480-volt motors and industrial equipment
- Experience inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, disassembling, and reassembling industrial machinery
- Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
Essential Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and control systems on manufacturing equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as MaintainX, to document maintenance activities and equipment history
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Communicate maintenance status, equipment issues, and repair progress with supervisors and production personnel
- Assist with equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and engineering projects as needed
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, disassemble, and reassemble equipment during repairs, relocation, or storage
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate ongoing equipment needs between shifts
- Follow all company safety policies and environmental compliance requirements
- Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through completion
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams
- Work overtime or extended hours as needed to support equipment repairs, installations, or production requirements

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
