Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with precision and efficiency
- Reconcile accounts, including balance sheets and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable using QuickBooks desktop and online software
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion
- Support budgeting activities and assist in financial data analysis using Excel spreadsheets and other tools
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
