Inside Sales Specialist

Position Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to join its customer support and sales operations team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate quotations, managing customer accounts, and delivering exceptional service throughout the order lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Review customer requests for quotation (RFQs) and prepare timely, accurate pricing proposals that meet internal standards and customer requirements
- Proactively follow up on quotations to support order conversion and improve forecast accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing outstanding day-to-day support
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product availability
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and coordinate solutions with internal departments
- Conduct periodic business reviews with assigned customers to strengthen relationships and identify additional business opportunities
- Review purchase orders to verify pricing, compliance requirements, certifications, and order accuracy
- Coordinate and support product return and repair activities, including Return Material Authorization (RMA) processing
- Build collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams
- Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple customer requests and deadlines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer account management, quotations, or customer support, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate situations and recommend effective solutions
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across departments
- Experience working with CRM and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel (advanced Excel skills are a plus)
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products and processes
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, or diesel engines is beneficial but not required
Work Environment
- Fast-paced office environment supporting manufacturing and customer operations
- Frequent interaction with customers and internal departments including Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service
- Occasional domestic travel (up to approximately 10%) may be required to visit customer sites or company locations

Pay: $56,117.00 - $84,175.00 per year
