Duties
- Operate commercial laundry machines such as washers and dryers
- Sort linens, clothing, and other items by color, fabric type, or cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results.
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing laundry areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle delicate items with special care, including performing dry cleaning procedures when necessary.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry loads processed and monitor machine performance for troubleshooting issues.
- Assist with folding, organizing, and storing clean linens or garments in designated areas for easy access.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, ironing, and dry cleaning processes.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly and presented professionally.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
- Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and safety procedures related to chemical handling.
