Who is Petroleum Management?
Petroleum Management Services, Inc. (PMSI) is a veteran-owned petroleum infrastructure company specializing in fuel storage tanks, pumps, and piping systems. We have been serving commercial, institutional, and public clients across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island for over 30 years.
We train our technicians from the ground up:
Nobody else does exactly what we do, so we do not expect candidates to walk in knowing petroleum systems. We expect them to be good hands who want to learn a trade that very few people have.
We build technicians first. Once you have the trade, we invest in the licenses and certifications that make you more valuable: oil burner tech, hoisting, confined space entry, electronic monitoring systems, and, for the right technicians, a commercial driver's license. We pay for it. Many of our senior technicians started here as laborers.
If you came up through a plumbing, electrical, or welding apprenticeship, or you are coming off a military enlistment and want a trade, this is a good fit. We have hired successfully from all of those backgrounds.
The work:
PMSI provides installation, repair and removal, regulatory compliance inspections, and environmental services to many major hospital systems, commercial real estate owners, schools, and municipalities.
Our work includes all aspects of projects including, but not limited to, site work and site restoration, excavation, tank installation and removal, piping, electronic tank monitoring equipment, inspectional services, and remediation work.
Additionally, our wholly owned subsidiary, Bullfrog Environmental Solutions, is a licensed hazardous waste transporter, which enables us to better serve our clients by handling petroleum and hazardous waste transportation and disposal in house.
Clients look to us for our technical expertise, exceptional service, and longstanding reputation as the area's leading fueling system contractor for emergency generators, industrial boilers, and fleet dispensers. Institutions depend on their on-site fuel systems for standby power, heat, and critical vehicle operations, and that infrastructure is aging.
Electronics is where this industry is going:
Fuel systems are increasingly electronic. Tank monitoring, leak detection, controls, and diagnostics are becoming the most valuable skill set in the field, and very few people have both the mechanical and the electronic side. The technicians who own that combination work on every job type we run and become the ones clients ask for by name.
If you already have monitoring system certifications, we want to talk to you. If you do not, we will train you into it once you have time in the field. That is not a perk, it is the career path.
