Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Therapist, where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental and neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Responsibilities
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols to support clients’ developmental goals
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and communication skills
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support clients in managing behaviors through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors, educators, and caregivers to develop and update individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent therapeutic approaches
- Participate in ongoing training on ethical standards, professional conduct, and the latest ABA methodologies
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health needs in various environments such as homes or schools
- Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards
- Experience working within special education settings or home-based behavioral programs is highly preferred
- Understanding of the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts is essential
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of all client information
