Our client, a leader in civil engineering and infrastructure development, is seeking a Deputy Director Capital Projects - Construction to join their team. As a Deputy Director Capital Projects - Construction, you will be part of the Department of Capital Projects supporting the construction and management of vital town infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Lead and provide direction to the town’s construction team responsible for managing capital improvement projects from construction through completion.
- Manage construction contractors to ensure compliance with design principles, regulations, and safety standards.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of the Capital Improvement Program and project status updates to stakeholders including neighborhoods, commissions, and Town Council.
- Oversee contract administration, review payment requests, and coordinate change orders and construction documentation.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, interpret construction plans, and respond to resident inquiries related to project construction.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or related areas, with at least three (3) years in management or supervisory roles.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, project management, and construction contract administration.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
