Position Overview
Bay City Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher who is committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will create engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with Michigan State Core Curriculum Standards while fostering strong classroom management and positive relationships with students and families.
Key Responsibilities
· Uphold the school motto: 'Action Over Words, Service Over Self.'
· Teach elementary students on a daily basis while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment.
· Create engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with established curriculum and state standards.
· Foster positive relationships with students and promote a supportive learning environment.
· Collaborate effectively with colleagues, staff, and school administration.
· Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate.
· Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting.
· Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
· Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
· Positive attitude and commitment to student success.
