Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Event Planner. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build engagement throughout the community by helping to create events throughout the year. As a vital member of our administrative team, you will support the development and execution of outreach initiatives, from conception, to marketing, to execution
Duties
- Partner with lay leaders and staff to support the planning and execution of Adult Education and Engagement programs throughout the year including, but not limited to: gala, boutiques, cooking classes, study sessions, game days, community dinners
- Develop engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels
- Proofread and edit all written materials to maintain high standards of accuracy, tone, and style
- Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize outreach efforts
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, assisting with mailings, and maintaining office supplies
- Update and maintain CBY’s public calendar
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms and best practices
- Event planning experience including boutiques, galas, and parties
- Experience with web-based databases and email communication systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively
