The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of the internal systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, as well as providing technical assistance to team members with network requests. The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The Network Administrator will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure smooth network operation.

- Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
- Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
- Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
- Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and virtualization
- Provide network support with a variety of operating systems
- Install and configure computer network equipment
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations
- Create and maintain network users/permissions
- Provide network support to users
- Ensure network security and connectivity
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Define network policies and procedures for the use of network resources
- Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, or agreed-upon outages
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 5 or more years of IT experience (required)
- 2+ years of proven hands-on experience in a network administrator role (required)
- Professional IT Certifications related to networking
- Previous experience with FortiNet firewalls, switches, and routers preferred
- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching (required)
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure
