Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, construction project specific accounting, vendor paperwork compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by performing precise data entry, account reconciliations, and financial analysis using advanced accounting software and systems. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Acumatica, & Procore to record transactions and generate reports.
- Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliation and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards.
- Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high standards of data security.
- Support internal audits by preparing documentation related to governmental accounting requirements and internal controls.
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills and Excel data analysis techniques for detailed financial insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies related to accounts receivable management, payroll processing, or bookkeeping activities.
Experience
- Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
- Experience working with various accounting systems including QuickBooks, Procore, Acumatica and similar platforms.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices or governmental accounting standards is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet review, and account analysis efficiently.
- Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent attention to detail for accurate data entry and math calculations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism in managing confidential information.

Pay: $61,416.18 - $73,963.57 per year
