Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering, and electrical components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Service diesel engines and perform specialized repairs such as air brake systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to execute precise repairs on diverse vehicle makes including GM vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle quality meets or exceeds industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems is essential.
- Skilled in working with schematics, automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, suspension systems, and welding techniques.
- Ability to perform complex repairs such as engine overhauls, auto body repairs, wheel alignments, and auto estimating procedures.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and wheel alignment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools for efficient repairs.
