As our Relocation Coordinator, you are responsible for all aspects of on-site and off-site resident relocation due Acquisition and Development Department renovation construction projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Lead all efforts in the management and coordination of resident relocation at National Church Residences properties before, during and after construction rehabilitations.
Determine relocation budgets and construct a comprehensive relocation plan supporting Development Project Leaders for the purpose of funding application submissions.
Maintain and monitor scope of relocation budgets through the course of the relocation process.
Ensure all operations are in compliance with regulations relating to the Uniform Relocation Act (URA) and act as primary contact with the URA consultant.
Manage all aspects related to moving services procurement and management, leasing (when applicable), resident transportation services, as well as utility transfers and payments.
Work closely with Relocation and Communication Manager to determine most appropriate and cost-effective methods for construction phasing in relationship to resident relocation.
Act as key liaison between the Construction Department, Housing Operations and residents in all matters relating to relocation.
Coordinate and hold all required and informational resident and staff meetings, both in-person and/or virtually, before and during a relocation project.
Manage and provide all relocation-related communications to all factions of National Church Residences, their residents and families.
Act as liaison with residents, property management, contractors and internal departments to develop and maintain relocation resources, communication materials and support tools that facilitate smooth resident transitions during renovation, redevelopment and capital improvement projects.
Create project-related communications, resident notices, presentations, tracking reports and documentation to ensure residents, stakeholders, and project teams remain informed throughout the relocation process.
Support resident engagement efforts and help address concerns to promote a positive relocation experience.
Attend and support Acquisitions and Development ceremonies and project-related events including groundbreakings, grand openings, resident informational meetings, relocation events and community engagement activities.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
Successfully manage the relocation budget, schedule and URA compliance for each renovation project assigned.
Perform professionally and with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with the functions and duties of Relocation Coordinator.
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2 years required, 5 years preferred project or property management experience, preferably in the field of multi-family affordable housing or a related field such as multi-family housing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including
some public speaking and presentation experience.
Ability to effectively research and procure moving vendors, off-site property leases and transportation services.
Ability to provide and manage self-created project tracking and analysis documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel as required for this position.
