IMMEDIATE OPENING! We are a multistate employer seeking a qualified accounting professional to join our team! This position is full-time and based at our Tillman’s Corner corporate location. This position does not include remote possibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare financial statements and budgetary reports.
- Assist with year end closing and work closely with CPA in tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations.
- Assist in preparation of general ledger entries including payroll, A/P, A/R and employee benefits administration.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
- Experience in accounting for a multi-state and multi-location business.
- Experience in commercial insurance lines helpful with experience in the handling of general liability and property claims.
Salary commensurate with experience.
