American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 3+ years of Level 3 NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a medical center in Northern Nevada.

13-week travel assignment at an acute care medical center in Northern Nevada
-
Night shift hours: 1800–0630
-
36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts with variable days
-
Floating required to all areas including adult critical care and neonatal critical care
-
On-call requirement on an as-needed basis

RRT credential required
-
Minimum 3 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
-
Demonstrated competency in high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, neonatal intubation, neonatal ventilator management, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for the neonate, neonatal arterial puncture, and delivery attendance
-
NICU transport experience preferred

Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP

ABG license required if applicable

Active (non-pending) state license required

Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital in the relevant specialty

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administer respiratory care per physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary care
-
Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies

Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care

Provide hemodynamic cardiovascular support and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation across all care sites

All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)

CPI certification is mandated for this position
