I am an elderly man living alone. I am a full-time wheelchair user, and I require about 20 hours of care per week. Some of this time is during the overnight hours to help me get to the bathroom. For that reason, I am looking for a live-in caretaker. I rent a 2-bedroom apartment. Your room would be included in the compensation for this position. In exchange, I would expect about 20 hours of care weekly, paid at $16.32/hour.
The tasks that I need help with are cleaning, laundry, meal prep, grocery shopping, and personal care support (showering, toileting, etc.)
Things you should know. I smoke... and not always outside.
I am an old trucker. You can take the truck from the trucker, but you cant take the trucker out of the man. ;)
You must be able to pass a caregiver background check and a background check at the apartment complex.
