American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac and vascular surgical experience for a hospital operating room position.
-
Hospital CVOR unit performing cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases
-
Day/evening shift options of 3x12 or 4x12 hours (0630-1830 or 1100-2330)
-
On-call requirement of 6 calls per 6-week schedule
-
Weekend shift and/or holiday coverage of 1 per 6-week schedule
-
May float to general surgery when no cardiac cases are scheduled
-
Uses Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for robotic cases

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years
-
Experience in aseptic technique, case cart preparation, and crash cart management required

Cardiac and vascular surgical case experience required
-
Da Vinci Xi Robotics experience required

Experience in general surgery, ortho, ortho/spine, ortho/joints, urology, endo, thoracic, neuro, gyn, neuro/spine, bariatrics, ophthalmology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, and transplant cases preferred

Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required

License required if applicable

Flu vaccine required

Support cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures including CABG, TAVR, VAD, EVAR, TEVAR, and carotid endarterectomy

Perform circulating duties as part of the surgical team

Assist with cardiothoracic robotic surgery cases

Scrubs are provided

First-time travelers will not be considered for this role

Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler

No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
-
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
-
Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a lower rate
