Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on welding machines, including welding equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and troubleshooting tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics on systems involving high voltage and low voltage components; troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems to identify faults swiftly.
- Repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments and mechanical components to maintain equipment accuracy and performance.
- Provide field service support for welding machinery across multiple manufacturing sites; assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades as needed.
- Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly with internal teams and external clients regarding technical issues or repair timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a focus on equipment maintenance or repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting welding machine problems, and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with industrial mechanic work, electrical systems, and high-voltage equipment.
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and calibration tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance; experience with welding processes including welding preferred.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics effectively; strong analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
