As a part of our team, the Dispensing Agent will play an essential role in assisting patients with their medical cannabis needs, ensuring a safe and compliant dispensing process.
Position Overview:
The Dispensing Agent is responsible for providing professional and knowledgeable service to patients at True Bliss. This role involves educating patients on product offerings, assisting with product selection based on individual needs, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail oriented, and knowledgeable about medical cannabis products and the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Educate patients on the various medical cannabis products, including their uses, effects, and dosage recommendations.
- Assist patients in selecting products that best fit their medical needs, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
- Verify patient eligibility, identification, and medical certifications in compliance with state regulations.
- Process patient transactions, including accurate input of information and secure handling of cash and electronic payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area, ensuring all products are stored and displayed according to compliance standards.
- Follow all security and safety protocols when handling products and interacting with patients.
- Update patient records as needed to reflect product purchases and any relevant notes for future visits.
- Assist in inventory tracking and management, including accurate record-keeping of product counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Contribute to a positive, educational environment that is customer focused.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in healthcare or customer service is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a high volume retail or healthcare setting; experience in a medical cannabis dispensary is preferred.
- Excellent cash handling skills and knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical cannabis products and their therapeutic uses, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Proficient use of a computer and software applications such as Google Drive.
- Must pass a background check in compliance with state regulations.
Working Conditions:
This role may require standing for extended periods and occasional handling of heavy items. Must be available for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
