We are seeking a dependable and observant Night Shift Yard Attendant to monitor our trucking yard and equipment. This is an entry-level position—no prior security experience is required. We will provide all the training you need to successfully manage the yard overnight. The ideal candidate is someone who is punctual, responsible, and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Nightly Rounds: Walk the yard to ensure all trucks, trailers, and containers are secure and accounted for.
- Logging Activity: Write down unit numbers and container IDs to keep an accurate record of what is in the yard.
- Property Safety: Check gates and doors to ensure the facility remains locked and secure throughout the night.
- Communication: Keep management informed of any unusual activity or maintenance issues found during the shift.
Qualifications
- No Experience Needed: We are happy to train anyone with a strong work ethic.
- Reliability: You must be someone who shows up on time for every shift.
- Basic Literacy: Ability to read and write clearly to fill out nightly logs.
- Alertness: Ability to stay focused and observant during the 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM shift.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable walking around a large outdoor yard and working in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
