Description:
Traveling laborers are workers who move from location to location to perform manual labor on temporary assignments during Power Plants off season, August - November. They provide flexible workforce solutions for projects that require additional hands or specialized work in different geographic areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Travel to out-of-state job sites as needed, including weekly overnight travel.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery.

Work as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.

Perform general labor tasks while learning and applying new skills on the job.

Work at heights ranging from approximately 4’ to 100’ (including work on scaffolding).

Perform work in conditions that may be dirty and physically demanding; adapt to changing daily tasks.

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather/temperatures (depending on the season and location).

Maintain safe work environments and follow OSHA regulations – safety is our top priority!
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.

Welders are a plus and earn more upon testing of proficiency, but we do train in welding as jobs and time allows.

A valid driver’s license

A vehicle to travel to and from job sites

Millwright Background a plus.

Familiar with Power Plant work a plus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is routinely required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
