Project Manager – HVAC
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial HVAC projects from initiation through completion. This role requires close coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have proven HVAC project management experience, a solid understanding of HVAC systems, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of HVAC projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate project activities with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Review and interpret HVAC plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages.
- Conduct regular site visits and project meetings to track progress and ensure quality control.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding project status, scheduling, and changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient with PCs and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Procore and other web-based construction or project management software is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and construction drawings, including creating and maintaining redline drawings to document field changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Trade-related certifications (HVAC, mechanical, safety, or project management) are a plus.
