Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of building systems, performing repairs, and overseeing preventative maintenance to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facility performance, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding equipment, and mechanical components to ensure continuous operation.
- Perform residential painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general facilities maintenance tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activities efficiently.
- Supervise or assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately; use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies while managing maintenance projects or emergency repairs.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment.
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting PLCs and working with schematics.
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, plumbing, and general mechanical repairs.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial maintenance is a plus.
