Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices for moving supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch areas and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
