We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a passion for creating delicious meals. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service.
Skills
- Proficient knife skills with the ability to prepare various ingredients efficiently.
- Experience working in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the culinary field.
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
