General Duties: The Advancement Director provides strategic leadership for Lakewood Park Christian School's fundraising, donor relations, community engagement, and alumni relations efforts. This position is responsible for cultivating relationships and securing resources that advance the mission, vision, and long-term sustainability of the school.
Working closely with the Head of School, leadership team, and the Board, this individual develops and implements advancement strategies that strengthen philanthropic support, increase community engagement, and enhance awareness of Lakewood’s mission and impact.
Areas of Responsibility
Fundraising & Development

Develop and implement annual advancement initiatives and fundraising strategies

Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, alumni, churches, businesses, and community partners

Support annual giving, major gifts, special campaigns, grants, and fundraising events

Maintain donor records and oversee donor recognition and stewardship efforts

Monitor and report advancement goals and fundraising outcomes
Community & Alumni Engagement

Develop opportunities for alumni involvement and engagement

Represent the school at community events and partnership opportunities

Foster a culture of generosity and support for the school's mission
Marketing & Communications Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Director of Admissions & Marketing to align advancement initiatives with the school's branding, communications, and community engagement strategies

Assist in developing donor communications, advancement publications, fundraising campaigns, and impact stories

Support efforts that increase awareness and engagement among donors, alumni, and community partners
Strategic Leadership

Partner with the Head of School and the School Board to advance the school's strategic priorities

Develop annual advancement goals, budgets, and action plans

Provide regular reports on advancement activities and fundraising progress

Additional duties as assigned by the Head of School

Three years of experience in fundraising, development, marketing, communications, community engagement, or a related field preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Education, or a related field preferred

Christian education experience preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

Evidence of strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in timely manner

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)

Shows evidence of a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Attends a church with a doctrinal statement in alignment with Lakewood Park

The Advancement Director is supervised and evaluated by the Head of School.
This full-time, exempt, year-round position, works 40 hours per week.
