Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food production tasks like braising, poaching, and meal preparation to support overall kitchen operations
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to uphold food safety management standards
- Collaborate with team members on menu planning and daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control to ensure consistency across all dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar food service role within high-volume or fine dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation methods
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely
- Background in dietary department or catering experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience with menu planning, food production, and recipe adherence is highly desirable
