Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transportation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow detailed safety regulations and occupational safety standards at all times to maintain a secure work environment.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by managing water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines and specifications.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all operations to safeguard yourself and colleagues from hazards.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and site operations for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience operating a variety of construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on construction machinery.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in concrete mixers and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to occupational safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret construction plans accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safety protocols are followed diligently.
