Tempstar Staffing has several 1st shift welding opportunities for expereinced MIG, TIG and STICK Welders.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder/Fabricator - Production to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in accordance with detailed blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate will bring construction site experience, proficiency in various welding techniques, and a strong mechanical aptitude to ensure high-quality production standards. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join metals with precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble materials.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping, sheet metal structures, and assemblies following ASME codes & standards.
- Operate rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy components safely on construction sites or within the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks while maintaining mechanical integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize production workflows.
- Support quality control by inspecting finished work against schematics and technical specifications.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with metal fabrication or welding projects preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for measurements.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools such as press brakes, pipe threading machines, forklifts, and machining equipment.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Mechanical knowledge including rigging, assembly processes, soldering techniques, and ductwork fabrication.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and schematics effectively for precise work.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes within construction or industrial environments.
- Ability to work safely on construction sites or in manufacturing settings while maintaining high-quality standards.
