Responsibilities:
- Bathe and groom pets according to specific instructions and breed standards
- Brush and comb out fur to remove tangles and mats
- Trim nails, clean ears, and express anal glands as needed
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during the grooming process
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, drying, and brushing for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and small mammals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other tasks as needed in the grooming salon
Skills:
- Experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Ability to handle animals with patience and compassion
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Basic understanding of animal behavior and body language
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Please note that this position does not require any veterinary medical procedures or advanced grooming techniques. It is primarily focused on bathing and basic grooming services.
