Business Controller
Salary Range: $105k-$115k
Location: Marietta, GA
Schedule: Onsite Daily
Summary:
The Business Controller is a hands-on, individual contributor responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and profitability analysis for assigned business areas. This role partners with business leaders to drive financial performance, provide actionable insights, challenge assumptions, and ensure accurate month-end close and compliance with reporting deadlines.

- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain rolling forecasts, budgets, and profitability analyses for assigned business areas.
- Analyze financial results, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions to business leaders.
- Deliver monthly financial and profitability reports, communicating risks and opportunities.
- Support financial reporting, balance sheet analysis, and KPI reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and support decision-making.
- Assist with interim and annual audits and support weekly payment approval processes.
- Cross-train within the finance team to provide backup support and promote knowledge sharing.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced financial certification preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or commercial business units preferred.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost accounting, profitability analysis, and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools preferred.
