About Regenera Medical
Regenera Medical is a physician-led functional and integrative medicine practice in Los Angeles focused on identifying and treating the underlying drivers of complex chronic illness while also helping patients optimize long-term health and longevity.
Our patients frequently present with complex, multisystem conditions involving immune dysregulation, autoimmunity, post-infectious syndromes, gastrointestinal dysfunction, metabolic dysfunction, environmental exposures, hormonal health, neuroinflammation, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
We also work extensively in preventive and longevity medicine, incorporating advanced laboratory testing, body composition and metabolic assessment, nutritional and lifestyle interventions, supplements, peptide therapies, and IV therapies where clinically appropriate.
We are looking for an exceptional Physician Assistant who wants to develop significant expertise in this model of medicine and become an integral long-term member of our clinical team.
The Position
This is not a high-volume urgent-care or traditional primary-care position.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, clinically thoughtful, personable, highly organized, and interested in understanding complex patients rather than simply treating individual symptoms.
You will work closely with the practice's physician and clinical team, initially learning our diagnostic and treatment approach and progressively developing an independent established-patient panel within the practice.
A major objective of this position is to provide patients with excellent continuity of care and timely clinical access while allowing more complex cases to be appropriately escalated to the physician.
Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant will:
- Conduct follow-up consultations with established patients.
- Obtain focused and comprehensive interval histories and perform appropriate examinations.
- Review and interpret conventional and specialty laboratory testing.
- Develop assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Manage medication and supplement protocols within the PA's authorized scope and practice agreement.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatment and modify treatment plans appropriately.
- Manage common patient questions and clinical issues occurring between visits.
- Triage patient communications and determine which issues can be handled by the PA versus those requiring physician evaluation.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
- Coordinate care with specialists when appropriate.
- Provide patient education regarding nutrition, exercise, sleep, metabolic health, and other lifestyle interventions.
- Participate in the practice's longevity, metabolic-health, supplement, peptide, and IV-therapy programs as appropriate.
- Maintain clear, accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with nursing, medical assistant, front-office, and administrative staff.
- Help refine clinical protocols and improve patient-care workflows as the practice grows.

Who We Are Looking For
The right candidate is more important to us than having prior functional-medicine experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent clinical judgment and knows when to escalate a case.
- Enjoys complicated patients and diagnostic problem-solving.
- Is genuinely interested in physiology, immunology, metabolism, nutrition, and preventive medicine.
- Communicates exceptionally well with patients.
- Can explain complex concepts clearly without overwhelming patients.
- Is warm and empathetic while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries.
- Is comfortable working with highly engaged and medically sophisticated patients.
- Is efficient with documentation and electronic communication.
- Can independently manage a busy clinical workload without becoming disorganized.
- Is comfortable receiving feedback and learning a defined clinical methodology.
- Is interested in building a long-term position rather than using the role as a temporary stepping stone.
- Values evidence-informed medicine while remaining intellectually open to emerging diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current California Physician Assistant license or ability to obtain California licensure before starting.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain it if required for assigned responsibilities.

- Strong clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led clinical team.

We will consider an exceptional new graduate with strong clinical training, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated commitment to this area of medicine.
Training and Growth
This position includes significant direct mentorship and clinical education.
Initially, the PA will work closely with the physician to learn Regenera Medical's approach to patient evaluation, laboratory interpretation, treatment planning, and follow-up.
As competency develops, the PA will assume increasing responsibility for established patients while maintaining close physician collaboration for complex cases.
