We are seeking an experienced and dependable Unarmed Security Supervisor to lead our security team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily security operations, supervise security personnel, coordinate schedules, and ensure the property remains safe and secure. This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain a professional presence while supporting both staff and clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of unarmed security officers.
- Prepare and manage employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for all shifts.
- Train, coach, and mentor security officers to ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Conduct vehicle patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete and review daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure officers are performing their duties effectively.
- Communicate regularly with management and clients regarding security operations.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations as needed.
- Ensure all company policies, safety procedures, and DPSST regulations are followed.
Qualifications
- Must provide proof of a valid Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Unarmed Security Professional Certificate.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma, GED, or higher-level degree required.
- Previous security supervisory or management experience required.
- Scheduling and staff management experience required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to safely operate a company or patrol vehicle.
